Description
Two stunning 19thc French silk brocade/jaquard chair seat and back pieces. Lovely old world French rich hues of deep coral, gray blue, blush and olive on a rich deep gold ground. The ground in more gold in person than my camera captured (best ground color is in photo #7). 17" x 14" and 23 1/2" x 21" I imagine salvaged and in lovely strong condition for a period chair upholstery project or could be used for other things. Very elegant and refined old French brocade/jacquard. I actually have a cotton fabric currently listed that is similar in it's pattern. refer to: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-French-Floral-Cartouche-Damask-Cotton-Fabric-Terra-Cotta-Blue-Sage/172052965167 Many thanks!! Welcome to Pia's~ I sell antique and vintage fabric. Each textile is different; some possibly used, some unused. I will give you my best assessment. I do not always launder them nor do I know all their history, how they have been stored over time etc.. I have a 30+ year long & extensive knowledge of textiles and gauge age ranges; fiber content etc.. to the best of my ability. As always please view all photos, dimensions etc.. as they are part of the description. Please keep in mind that I provide the best photos possible but monitors do vary. If my eyes should miss a small flaw, please know it is not intentional. I am always available and happy to answer any inquiries so always please ask if I have not addressed something that may be important to you. I do combine shipping whenever possible. If you are an international buyer or purchasing multiple pieces, please wait for my personal invoice as ebay's auto. combined invoices are rarely accurate. You can do this by either messaging me or using the drop down button that says "request total from seller" after your purchase but prior to paypal checkout. Again, if you have any questions, please message me. ?
