T hese were samples found in my mother’s attic that she had collected over last 40 years from interior decorators in the deep south-VARIOUS SAMPLES that were used to sell the decorator lines of fabrics,the classic upholstery decorator fabric. Collection of upholstery samples. Many textile pieces woven by the manufacturer in their multiple color ways, and distributed as a sample to fabric suppliers, who then pick out the weave and color way for their orders Would make a great pillow. Lovely patterns in soft muted tones COTTON PRINT and Rayon, Silk blends- GREAT QUILTING FABRIC - W i t h t h e s e different fabrics y o u c o ul d m a k e a w o n d e r f u l v i n t a g e crazy square block quilt . It's ideal for a vintage looking quilt, and so 'in' at the moment. If you are reproducing a very early quilt using damask, new fabric may do but most do not have the sheen and style found in these early fabrics. Irregular shaped brocade striped-rose and floral.This is an irregular piece of beautiful fine silk blend-- could be great for quilting - 2.) Minnesota Mining & MFG. Co., from the Guardian Collection. Approx. 2 ft.x2 ft.. Green & gold striped/floral. 3.) Roman wine brocade-61761 w/attached fabric swatches, wine color with circle pattern, 2 ft.x2 ft. 4.) Large blue & floral striped brocade, 4 ft. x 2’ 3/4 ft. This is the best of the group- its fine silk blend with shimmery look satin 5.) Blue & white striped brocade, approx. 2 ft. x 2 ft., a few pulls in the fabric and a very small stain. 6.) Dusty blue brocade w/attached color swatches. From 1961 !! John Bargainer Interiors, Montgomery, Ala., 93% cotton, 7% silk. Pattern #10-23-61-192- . 2 ft. x 2ft. This group of vintage fabric of upholstery fabric and old damask has an array of shades- especially pretty are the old Damask from years ago. Nice brocades with leaves and roses swirls across the fabric and other delicate leaves.The colors are soft dusty Victorian tones punctuated with deeper tones silver and green. The background of the fabrics have various backgrounds with a nice nostalgic cast. A nice soft fabric of a gorgeous style.
